About the program:
The Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music (KISSM) has been igniting a passion for music and the arts in young people since 1978! Every July, aspiring musicians come together for a dynamic three-week program led by experienced music educators and industry professionals, with enthusiastic support from university students who share a love for music.
At KISSM, young musicians gain the “key” to artistic excellence. Through expert mentorship, they refine their skills, explore new musical styles, and develop confidence in performing and creating music. Beyond the classroom, they connect with like-minded peers, discover new opportunities, and build a foundation for lifelong artistic growth.

This year, Kamloops Music Collective is thrilled to present the musicals Legally Blonde and Disney's Dare to Dream Jr.

Finances should never prevent a child from participating in the arts. As a non-profit organization, the Kamloops Music Collective is committed to making our programming accessible to as many children and youth in our communities as possible. Our financial assistance programs have helped hundreds of children to register in tuition-based programs at a reduced rate. Applications for financial assistance are open to everyone. Your privacy matters to us. All applications are held in confidence. To apply, please click the registration link below.
If you would like to pursue further funding, we recommend looking into the Boogie the Bridge Cultural Fund (BBCF). This is a community-based cultural funding program established in 2005 providing grants for children ages 5 to 18 who are in need of financial assistance to have the opportunity to participate in cultural programs in Kamloops.
