In 40 Years, 40 Stories
Starting about 32 years ago, my younger brothers and I, all attended KISSM. As students of Steve Powrie's band it was a given you attended summer camp. I think he inspired all of us to attend KISSM. My favorite memory was when we convinced some of the teachers to come back to our house for a pool party after class one day. My aunties, who were babysitting us at the time, were pretty surprised to see Anthony, the bassoon player, pull up in his convertible Jaguar to come for a swim. Ryan, Rory, and I attended for three summers until we moved to Prince George. My love of teaching was inspired by my truly amazing grade seven teacher Steve Powrie. Thank you for the fond memories.
