KMC Outreach

KMC works in an ongoing way to identify opportunities for youth musicians to play and perform year-round in our community. If you would like to discuss partnering with us on existing or new outreach initiatives, please contact us!

Boys and Girls Club of Kamloops

KMC has partnered with the Boys & Girls Club of Kamloops to provide music instruction to children and youth who take part in their programming.

Around the World With Music

Almost 90 kids and parents attended our free Around the World with Music workshop as part of Kamloops' Unplug and Play week!

Tuba Christmas

Tuba Christmas is a world wide event that the KMC is proud to bring to Kamloops! Each November a group of talented local low brass players gather to perform for the community.

Kamloops Old Time Fiddlers

Kamloops Old Time Fiddlers, in partnership with KMC, welcomed fiddlers ages 8 and up to join in a free Fiddle Workshop in February of 2016 at Heritage House in Kamloops.  Close to 100 people attended this workshop.

Kamloops Brain Injury Association

KMC has worked with the Kamloops Brain Injury Association to provide drumming and ukulele workshops to clients who would not otherwise access music activities.

Trinitas

Trinitas, in partnership with KMC, welcomed musicians of all levels to a Master Class and Concert on November 14th 2017 at Kamloops United Church.  As Eastern Canada’s premier flute/cello/piano chamber ensemble, Trinitas delighted the audience with enchanting music scores featuring the work of Nikolai Kapustin, Astor Piazzola and Lowell Liebermann.

Canucks Autism Network

We are so honoured to have been  able to partner with the Canucks Autism Network to provide music experiences and exploration for the children and youth who participate in their program!

Lee's Music

KMC, in partnership with Lee's Music, welcomed community members of all ages and experience levels to join our free Ukulele workshop as a part of Interior Saving's Unplug and Play Event.  Around 60 people attended this workshop that was facilitated by 4 experienced Ukulele players.
