Who We Are
45 years ago, the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music was born out of a desire to create a shared space where passionate music students could unite and learn from one another. All these years later, our goal remains very similar: we want to create a safe, and inclusive environment where students can come together and find inspiration, friendship, mentor-ship and so much more!
After seeing the desire for more music programming in our community throughout the years, and seeing the effect that our summer program had on the lives of the participants, we were inspired to expand the organization and work to create even more programs and opportunities for young musicians in our community. As a result, the Kamloops Music Collective was born, and we have now grown to include many other programs and events year round.
In order to maintain our standard of excellence, and provide our participants with the best experience possible, we are constantly working to create new relationships and partnerships with the talented music educators in our community. Current Opportunities
We are currently accepting applications for the Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music, happening from July 8th - 26th 2024. We are so excited about launching KISSM 2024 because we know how important music education is to the kids in our community.
