BAND TOGETHER
What is the BAND Together Program?
BAND Together is a collaboration between School District 73 and the Kamloops Music Collective that introduces elementary school students to high school band. Grade 6 and 7 students are invited to their future High School and participate in a 6 week Introduction to Concert Band program. This program gives the students a chance to interact with peers who will be attending the same high school as them in September 2025 or 2026, while also exploring their potential future music program with the school's band teacher.
This year, we are once again running the BAND Together program at Valleyview Secondary, but we will also be running the program at Brocklehurst Secondary this winter! If your child would like to participate in one of these program but they will not be attending that respective secondary school please email info@kamloopsmusiccollective.ca to discuss your situation with a Kamloops Music Collective staff member.
What is included in the BAND Together Program?
Each student registered in the 5 or 6 week program receives:
The use of an instrument for the duration of the program (free of charge)
Music instruction for 5 or 6 weeks
A $50 Kamloops Interior Summer School of Music (KISSM) gift certificate for use by the registered student for KISSM 2025 (non-transferable)
A snack & drink will be provided each week

Dates: Wednesday's between January 29th and March 5th 2025
Location: Valleyview Secondary School's Music Room
Time: 3:30- 5:00 pm
Perfect For: Students in grades 6 and 7
